China Quarterly of International Strategic Studies

Submission Guidelines

China Quarterly of International Strategic Studies (CQISS) is jointly published by Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS) and World Century Publishing Corporation (WCPC), USA. As one of the first and foremost Chinese academic journals published internationally, it focuses on, though is not confined to, strategic issues related to China's role in global affairs.

We welcome manuscripts from scholars and practitioners worldwide on related subjects, including IR theory, research methodology and policy analysis highlighting the strategic visions with policy concerns related to China. Original interdisciplinary syntheses are especially welcomed.

Manuscripts should be written in English. They can be research papers or review articles that are related to fields of interest of the journal, approximately 6,000 to 8,000 words in length.

We accept electronic manuscripts in MS-Word format with all text, tables, figures, and appendices in one file. Manuscripts should include the authors' names, addresses, affiliation(s), contact information, abstracts of 200 to 300 words and up to five keywords. Manuscripts should use footnotes in the same format, instead of a reference or bibliography list.

Submission of a manuscript indicates a tacit understanding that the paper is not actively under consideration for publication in other journals or has not been published anywhere before. Copyright of the papers, including the right of reproduction in all forms and media, shall be assigned exclusively to CQISS. The transfer of copyright to CQISS shall take effect when the paper is accepted for publication.

Upon publication, authors will receive a PDF e-print of the final published version of their article for personal use as well as two free copies of the issue in which their article appears.
